At Jade Counselling, we focus on your holistic wellness from a biopsychosocial lens. We collaborate with our clients: individuals, couples and families who put their trust in us and we put our belief in them, their agency and resourcefulness.
We specialize in Trauma, complex PTSD, Developmental trauma, relationships (family, and romantic) as well as self esteem, confidence and goal setting. We also provide therapy, supervision,and consultations to other counsellors and practicum students. Our goal is to walk alongside you as a compass. We are guided by your commitment and ongoing feedback. We support you on your journey to optimize wellness, heal trauma and repair rupture. For us, psychotherapy is a passion, an art that is led by scientific research and ongoing training and professional growth. Our practice is evidence-based, neurobiology oriented, founded on attachment theory and emotionally focused. Professional Training
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma and many other mental health issues and psychological stress.
- AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy): provides experiential opportunities for healing and transformation, undoing of aloneness and the establishment of a safe and secure therapeutic relationship.
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT): emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness and interpersonal skills.
- Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): enhance relationships and attachment styles (individuals, couples, families).
- Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS): identify and heal painful emotions such as anger and shame and restore mental balance and harmony (treatment of depression, anxiety, phobias, panic, and physical health conditions).
